How it all began?
Nutrition Revitalised was born from a passion for harnessing the power of food to cultivate a healthier lifestyle. This Melbourne-based practice, established in 2020, began with a focus on empowering women with PCOS and fertility concerns. Through evidence-based, personalised dietary advice, countless individuals, particularly those of Indian origin, have benefitted from improved symptom management (e.g. acne, hormonal imbalances, cravings) and overall well-being.
While working with these women, we looked into their lifestyle, eating habits, catered to the Indian diet and made modifications that not only addressed PCOS symptoms but was also anchored around their food preferences so that recommendations were more sustainable. In this process, we discovered that other co-existing concerns like weight management, insulin resistance, infertility, fatty liver, high cholesterol levels and stress also impacted their quality of life. Our approach heavily relies on empowering individuals with the knowledge to make changes. Hence taking a holistic approach looking at a sustainable diet for fat loss, gut microbiome, low GI diet and the anti-inflammatory Mediterranean diet.
Growing up in Singapore, Meyya comes from a background steeped in the rich multicultural tapestry of Asian and Indian heritage, recognising the importance of culturally sensitive dietary approaches. This insight led to the development of personalised nutrition plans ensuring that clients across various demographics can achieve success without sacrificing their cherished culinary customs or quality of life. Nutrition Revitalised has since flourished, expanding its expertise to encompass a wider range of dietary needs with 3 Dietitians in the team who can speak multiple languages (Tamil, Hindi, Mandarin, Malay & Hokkien). Alongside its continued dedication to PCOS nutrition and fertility nutrition, the practice now offers comprehensive services in paediatric nutrition as well, supporting parents to help their children with fussy eating, growth, allergies etc. We are able to support clients internationally through Telehealth and face-to-face for clients within Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
